When it comes to travel, I am all about the food. Crepes, cannoli, pasta, you name it! I'm always researching the best restaurants and foods to try months before each of my trips. Of course my must try for New York included street hot dogs, cheesecake and thin crust pizza! I'm getting hungry just thinking about the Big Apple's delicious variety of food!
Juliana's Pizza was one of those restaurants that I just had to try on my trip. The pizza joint has raving reviews from pizza lovers across the world, so I figured it must be pretty good! Trust me when I say New York City pizza is to die for; thin crispy crust topped with a thick layer of tomato sauce, cheese and a huge assortment of toppings. What's not to like?
After a walk along the Brooklyn Bridge, we decided to hit up Juliana's Pizza which is a short walk away from the bridge. We waited in line for a good 20 minutes in the New York summer heat, but the wait definitely proved to be worth it after trying the pizza.
I'll admit, there were so many delicious pizzas (and salads and pasta) on the menu to choose from that it was hard to make a decision! Since there were seven of us in our group, we got to split three large pizzas between all of us (so at least I got to try three of them!). We ordered tomato, mozzarella, arugula and prosciutto pizza, margherita pizza and the white pizza. I think my favorite was the definitely the margherita pizza!
I love how New York City has pizza joints on every corner, but I'd have to say that my favorite by far though is Juliana's Pizza (although it's the only one I tried so maybe I'm a bit biased). I've been to many pizza restaurants during my lifetime and this definitely makes my list of favorites. Juliana's certainly lived up to it's expectations!
On your next visit to New York City, I highly recommend that you make a stop at Juliana's Pizza. I can promise you that you won't regret it!
